Black Rock Crafted American Pale Ale is brewed to deliver a bold and flavorful Pale Ale experience with a rich, amber hue. NZ Green Bullet hops are added at the boil to provide a moderate bitterness, while Cascade hops are used for dry hopping to enhance the aroma.
This Crafted American Pale Ale pours a deep amber color with an SRM of 6, offering a complex malt profile. The blend of 56% MaltEurop Ale, 31% MaltEurop Lager, 7% Gladfield Light Crystal, and 6% Gladfield Aurora malts provides a robust and balanced body with a subtle sweetness and caramel notes. The bitterness from NZ Hops Green Bullet™ is moderate, contributing to a balanced finish with an IBU of 27. At 4.5% ABV, this Pale Ale is both sessionable and satisfying, making it perfect for any occasion.
Can be brewed with 1kg dextrose but for best results, brew Black Rock Crafted American Pale Ale with Black Rock Ultralight (or a second can of Black Rock Crafted American Pale Ale to boost bitterness) & an 11.5g sachet of Fermentis Yeast: SafAle™ US-05.
For a craftier option, try 50-200g of dry hop at day 6 of fermentation.
Suggested hop additions:
Classic American Pale Ale: Use Cascade and/or Centennial for a traditional citrus and floral aroma.
Citrus Pale Ale: Use Citra® and/or Amarillo® for a zesty citrus punch with hints of lemon and orange.
Tropical Pale Ale: Use Azacca®, El Dorado®, and/or Mosaic® for a burst of tropical fruit flavors like pineapple, mango, and coconut.
Piney Pale Ale: Use Simcoe® and/or Chinook for a bold pine and resin character.
Fruity Pale Ale: Use Ekuanot® for a mix of tropical and stone fruit flavors.
Ingredients: Malted barley, water, hops, and yeast (under the lid).
