Typically ranging between 11% and 15% alpha acids, Magnum is ideally suited to early kettle additions where it contributes a refined bitterness with excellent consistency. Thanks to its naturally low cohumulone content, the bitterness it produces is soft, rounded, and well-integrated, avoiding the harshness sometimes associated with high-alpha varieties.
