With alpha acid levels typically ranging from 12-14%, it offers brewers an ideal balance of efficiency, flavour, and aromatic complexity.

Its low cohumulone content contributes to a refined, rounded bitterness that remains soft on the palate, making it particularly effective as a primary bittering hop. Beyond bitterness, Pacific Jade delivers bright citrus notes layered with subtle spice, creating depth and character across a wide variety of beer styles.

As a finishing hop, its fresh citrus expression helps balance richer malt profiles, adding lift and drinkability to fuller-bodied ales. The variety's generous oil content further enhances its ability to contribute both flavour and aroma, making it a valuable tool throughout the brewing process.

Frequently chosen as an upgrade from more neutral high-alpha varieties, Pacific Jade combines smooth bitterness with expressive hop character, reflecting the innovation and quality of modern New Zealand hop breeding.

A brewer's favourite for its exceptional versatility and balanced hop expression.

Current alpha acid 13.8%.
