Koppakleer Tablets are a refined grade carrageenan product which is added to the wort in the kettle to enhance protein removal as the wort cools. Koppakleer requires only a short period of boiling to disperse and can be added to the whirlpool when its not possible to interrupt the boil or open the kettle.
Easy to use Koppakleer Tablets are a natural product which remove substantial quantities of haze forming material without affecting head retention.
This product produces brighter worts which reduces the amount of finings required later.
Koppakleer granules can increase rates of fermentation and attenuation and also reduce process time and tank losses.
Add in the last 5 minutes of boil (or whirlpool). The exact rate for a given wort will vary according to the brewery, the recipe and the types of malts and adjuncts used.
Typical rate varies from 1/2 a tablet to 3 tablets per hectolitre (100L) so for a home brewer making 25 litre brews start with 1/8th tablet to 3/4 of a tablet.
