Bulk Priming is another method of adding sugar to your brew to 'prime" or carbonate through natural yeast activity.

Bulk priming is best done with Dextrose over white suagr as it dissolves easier and creates cleaner alcohol and is said to  aid head retention and minimise yeast deposit in comparison.

We offer two pack sizes.

200gm Pack -Use for a 23 Litre brew that you want to serve at a lower carbonation rate and less chilled, what we generally refer to as "English Ale" style. Good for brews served around 8-13C. This allows the brew to be served smoother and tastier than when heavily chilled.

250gm Pack -Use for a 23 Litre brew that you want to serve at a higher carbonation rate and more chilled, what we generally refer to as "Lager/Pilsner" style. Good for brews served quite cold. The colder the brew is served the more gas it requires to bead nicely. We do not recommend this pack size when used with glass bottles and caution you when used with all-malt kits that are aged longer as they may eventually over-carbonate.
